Certified Medical Assistant.

Join RKM and make a difference in the community by providing primary care in an ambulatory health setting as part of a primary care team. Since 1999, our mission is to provide open access to quality patient centered healthcare in the communities in which we live. RKM Primary Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 clinics in 5 parishes.

Direct Patient care:

This position delivers primary care in an ambulatory health setting, as part of a primary care team.

Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.
Interact with patient to obtain medical history & document in EMR.
Ensure all reports/labs are available.
Maintain specimens as ordered by the Provider.
Perform EKGs as ordered by the Provider.
Maintain exam rooms and equipment.
Record keeping.
Perform control checks for lab equipment.
Admin duties as directed – process phone messages/scanning.
Assist with team coverage through the organization as needed/requested.

Qualifications/Skills:

Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required).
Current Basic Life Support (Required).
Prefer experience in ambulatory care setting, preferred.

Employment Type: Full Time, Monday through Friday.

Starting Salary Range: $13.20 – $18.27 per hour; up to 3% annual increases.
